Jackgreen respects your right to Privacy protection and is required to comply with the National Privacy Principles in force under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy sets out the manner in which Jackgreen will collect, use and disclose your personal information and the steps it will take to safeguard your personal information.

What is personal information and how do we collect it?

Personal information means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion. Jackgreen may collect personal information from you for use or disclosure in accordance with this policy.

We collect personal information in five main ways:

1. when you request information about our products and/or services;
2. when you request us to supply our products and/or services to you;
3. when supplied to us by Easy Being Green;
4. when you enter promotions or competitions that we may conduct from time to time;   and
5. to authenticate the caller as the account holder, or third party authority, in relation to any customer management issues.

We may also collect your personal information during customer surveys which we conduct to ensure that we are delivering the best possible service to you. You may complete our customer surveys anonymously if you wish.

Jackgreen is concerned to ensure that we maintain and preserve our environment as best we can. We have teamed up with like-minded organisations who are also concerned with the protection of our environment. We intend to team up with more organisations that have similar concerns in the future.

How we use and disclose personal information

Jackgreen will only use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We will use your personal information to provide services to you, to review, develop and improve our business and products and services we offer and to keep you informed of any changes to our business, products and services or other offerings that may be of interest to you.

The types of organisations to whom we may disclose your personal information include:

• Third parties that assist us in our business, including postal and delivery service providers, suppliers of the services we provide, printers and marketing service providers, information technology service providers
• Advisors and financiers that assist us in our business, including bankers, accountants, legal advisors and other professional consultants and advisors
• Credit reporting agencies
• Third parties who are interested in acquiring all or substantially all of our business or assets.

We may also disclose your personal information to Easy Being Green. Easy Being Green are a likeminded company that exists to make it easy for individuals, businesses and communities to cut their CO2 emissions, thus actively engaging them in solutions to climate change.

How we protect your personal information

We will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold about you from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. The measures we will use to protect your personal information include using secure servers, requiring password access to internet accounts, encryption of electronically transmitted data, keeping hard copy information in restricted areas in locked cabinets and implementing data back-up and disaster recovery procedures.

Our contractors and employees are contractually obliged to respect the Privacy of your personal information.

Collection through our website

We only collect personal information from you when you use our website if you provide it voluntarily and knowingly.

There are some features of our website that require you to sign up to use. If you do sign-up we use the information you supply for the purpose of providing the products, services or information you request.
